Dragons Sweep Individual Freestyle Events En Route to 135-107 Victory Over Binghamton

Binghamton, N.Y. - The Drexel women's swimming & diving team earned a dual meet victory on the road with a 135-107 topping of Binghamton. Katie McCann took first place in the 500 and 1000 free while Sarah Keeley won the 200 IM and 200 breast. Jessica Csakai took first in the 100 and 200 free and freshman Maria Coman's time of 25.69 won the 50 free.
The Dragons opened the event with a win in the 400 medley relay as Coman, Keeley, Kaitlin Slowey and McCann finished the race in 4:04.17. Kate Hynes was impressive on the boards again sweeping the 1 and 3-meter dives with scores of 300.82 and 334.87, respectively. Coman added a win in the 200 back as the Dragons picked up their first victory of 2008.
Drexel returns to action on Jan. 19 as the Dragons host Towson at 2 p.m.
