Dragons Turn Aside Monmouth, 7-0, to Remain Undefeated on the Season

West Long Branch, N.J. – Drexel women's tennis preserved its undefeated record in the fall season with another 7-0 shutout victory, this one coming over Monmouth on the road. The Dragons are now 5-0 in the fall. Monmouth drops to 3-10 on the season with the loss. Drexel's doubles teams remain undefeated in dual match play this season as do singles players Gozde Unkaya, Anahita Jagtiani and Elise Leizerovich.

Drexel's singles players all won in straight sets over their Monmouth counterparts with the Dragons' first three players dropping just one game each. Zineb Hilali topped Sarah Ragan 6-1, 6-0 to improve to 3-2 in singles play this season. Unkaya dispatched Kaitlin Gallagher 6-1, 6-0 and Anahita Jagtiani also put down her opponent Katie Tierney 6-1, 6-0.

The Dragons are back in action at home tomorrow when they play a dual match with the men's team against the Rider Broncs at 2:00 p.m.
