Men's Tennis Closes Out Fall Season With 5-2 Win over St Francis (N.Y.)

Philadelphia - Drexel men's tennis put the wraps on a successful fall campaign with a 5-2 victory over St. Francis (N.Y.) College. The Dragons got wins at third through sixth singles and swept all three doubles matches to earn the team point. Drexel finishes the fall season 2-0 in dual match play, while St. Francis (N.Y.) drops to 1-3 on the season.
Sophomore Jason Savage-Pollock came up with a big day for the Dragons. He bounced back after dropping the first set of his match at third singles 7-5 to close out a three-set victory in a third-set tiebreaker. He ended up edging out Esteban Mesa 5-7, 6-4, 7-6(4). Savage-Pollock then teamed up with doubles partner Sabyasachi Bose to defeate Mesa and partner Danlahdi Robinson at second doubles.
Seniors Joe Koebele and Carlo Pangilinan picked up a win in their first-doubles match, 8-5, over Jindrich Chaloupka and Daniel Gonzalez while Bryan Nguyen and Ben Trabin shutout the Terriers' Vihren Todorov and Alvin Rey, 8-0.
