Dragons Blank Morgan State For First Win of '08

Thorofare, N.J. - Drexel got its first win of the 2008 calendar year with a 4-0 shutout of Morgan State on Saturday. The Dragons won at first, second, third and fifth singles to clinch the match. Freshman Nick Bacchus won a straight-set victory over Juan Ortiz at third singles.
Senior Joe Koebele pulled out a tough win at first singles with a 7-3 tiebreaker victory in the second set after taking the first 6-4. Carlo Pagiinlan bounced back from a 4-6 first-set loss to win in three sets, shutting out Kevon Charles 6-0 in the third set.
The Dragons are back in action against Colgate on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at Swarthmore College.
