Santa Clara, Calif. - Drexel opened play at the Santa Clara University Bronco Stampede Tournament with a 3-0 shutout of the host Broncos. Katrina Gaudier threw the complete game blanking and also went 2-for-4 at the plate. The Drexel victory kept Santa Clara winless on the season and improved the Dragons' record to 4-3 on the year.

Gaudier improved to 2-1 on the season after scattering six hits over seven innings with two walks and two strikeouts in the shutout pitching performance. She also hit her first double of the season at the plate.

Molly Dacey went 1-for-4 in the contest and drove in a run and Ashley Botelho hit her first homer of the season for the Dragons' third run of the game. Drexel returns to the field at 4:00 (PST) to face North Dakota State.
