Dragons Improve Road Record with 18-4 Drubbing of Wagner

Staten Island, N.Y. - The Drexel women's lacrosse team earned a decisive 18-4 victory over non-conference opponent Wagner. Jessica Bill tallied four goals while Katie Lawson contributed a trio of scores. Mariana Uribe and Nicole Adams each added two goals and an assist in Drexel's sixth win in as many chances on the road in the 2008 season as the Dragons improved to 7-1 on the season.
The Dragons scored the first two goals of the game before the Seahawks responded with a pair of goal of their own to knot the game at 2-2. Drexel answered with eight straight goals to end the first half as the Dragons put the game out of reach.
Lauren LaBella made three saves while allowing just two goals while Whitney Johnson provided scoreless relief in the cage in over 11 minutes in goal. Rachael Behrndt made two saves while allowing two goals.
Drexel returns to action on Wednesday, March 26 when the Dragons take on Saint Joseph's at 4:00 p.m.
