Cape Cod, Mass. - The Drexel golf team battled foul weather to complete the 2008 Hawks Invitational hosted by Hartford University. Originally a 54-hole event, a Sunday storm cancelled first round action as the Dragons and 22 other schools played 18 holes on Monday and Tuesday. Trevor Sahn paced the Dragons with a 153 for the two rounds on the par 72 course. Drexel finished 21st of 22 teams competing in the event.

Sahn battled back from an opening-round 80 to shoot a one-over par 73 on Tuesday. He finished tied for 57th in the tournament. Sean Semenetz and Frank Petrash each fired 160 for the event. Semenetz opened with a 77 and finished with an 83 while Petrash shot a 79 followed by an 81. Andy Frank shot an 82 on both of the rounds to finish with a 164 while redshirt freshman Michael Serensits shaved nine strokes of of his opening-round score of 87 to shoot a 78 on Tuesday.
