Philadelphia - Drexel women's swimming & diving proved to be too much for Howard as the Dragons defeated the Bison, 126-66, at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. Seniors Kaitlin Slowey, Sarah Keeley and Kate Hynes all helped the Dragons earn points in their final appearance at Drexel Pool. The dual was the last for Drexel before the season-ending Colonial Athletic Association Championships. The three were honored prior to the meet as part of Senior Day festivities.
Slowey and Keeley got the Dragons off to a quick start as they were half of the winning 200 medley relay team that earned Drexel 11 points with their time of 1:57.37. Freshman Devina Tyagi and sophomore Maria Coman also swam in the meet's opening event with the two seniors. Jessica Csakai followed with a win in the 1000 free.
Tyagi headed a one-two-three Drexel finish in the 50 free as she clocked a 25.90 edging out teammates Malin Wiberg and Meg Smith. Howard took fourth and fifth in the event. Coman won the 200 IM and the 100 back to add to her victory in the medley relay. Keeley also picked up an individual win as she took the 100 fly in 1:03.35.
Kate Hynes finished her collegiate dual career undefeated as she earned nine team points in each of the two diving events. Hynes racked up a score of 346.90 on the 3-meter board and 313.90 on the 1-meter board.
