Thorofare, N.J. - Drexel men's tennis improved its dual match record to 3-2 with a 6-0 victory over Morgan State on Saturday, Jan. 7. The Dragons swept singles play and did not play a doubles match after closing out the victory 6-0 over the Bears.
Seniors Joe Koebele and Carlo Pangilinan topped out the single lineup. Koebele defeated Juan Ortiz 7-5, 6-4 and Pangilinan shut down Dimitry Chekhlatvy 6-1, 6-2. Mehdi Rhazali, a mid-season transfer improved to 2-1 on the season with a dominating 6-1, 6-1 win over Kevon Charles. Senior Ben Trabin picked up his first win of the season 6-2, 6-1 over Samual Matthews.
The Dragons hosted Saturday's match at the Riverwinds Tennis Center in Thorofare, N.J. Drexel is back in action next Sunday, Feb. 15 when they travel to play St. Peter's.
