Dragons Win Swarthmore Invitational, Frank Takes Individual Title

Springfield, Pa. - Drexel tied with Harford Community College for first place in the 2009 Swarthmore Invitational played at Rolling Green Golf Club. Andrew Frank's four-over par 75 that earned the junior medalist honors. As a team, Drexel finished with a 315 while Swarthmore took third with a score of 323 while Ursinus totaled 343. Frank, Trevor Sahn and Sean Semenetz played the event as individuals as their scores did not contribute to the Drexel team score. It marked the final event before the Dragons compete in the 2009 Colonial Athletic Association Championships.
In addition to Frank's tournament-best performance, Michael Serensits tied for second overall just one shot behind with a 76. Senior Mike Carr tied for sixth with a 77 and Andrew Lawson fired a 79 to take ninth place. Myles Vlachos and Stephen Kidron fired an 84 and 85, respectively.
