Drexel's Women's Varsity Eight Take Third at Kerr Cup Regatta

Philadelphia - The Dragons' top boat finished third in women's varsity eight race at the 43rd annual Kerr Cup Regatta held on the Schuylkill River. Buffalo took first place in the race to win the Lela Kerr Cup. The Bulls also won the second varsity eight race and the novice eight final to claim the team title at the regatta.
The Drexel's varsity eight finished with a time of 7:27.99 that was only topped by Buffalo and Delaware. The Blue Hens' boat crossed at 7:24.63 while the winning time of 7:19.15 was registered by the Bulls. The Dragons' second varsity eight placed third behind Buffalo and George Mason after being credited with a 7:23.13. In novice eight competition, the Dragons finished second in their heat before placing fifth in the final with a time of 7:49.97.
Drexel Crew returns to action on Saturday, April 25 at the Bergen Cup Regatta on the Schuylkill River.
