Baltimore, Md. - Drexel women's swimming & diving dropped Howard, 127-70, while losing to UMBC, 150-123, in a pair of duals held on the campus of UMBC.
Julie Lin established a new personal best in the 1000 free when she took third place with a time of 11:27.36 while Megan Bush posted a season-best 11:35.05 to take fourth. Coman followed with a victory over both schools in the 100 back as her time of 1:01.09 bested UMBC's Laura Tilman by 0.85 seconds. Amanda Brown was the Dragons' top finisher in the 100 breast as she took third with a time of 1:09.99. Malin Wiberg paced Drexel in the 200 breast as she took second with a time of 2:30.50.
On the boards, Megan Halicek continued her impressive debut season with a sweep of the 1- and 3-meter dives. She turned in a score of 248.48 on the 1-meter to win by 60 points over Amanda Shinholser of UMBC while her 256.28 on the 3-meter board was nearly 80 points better than second-place Shinholser.
The Dragons return to action on Saturday, Jan. 16 with a 1:00 p.m. meet at rival Delaware.
