
Dragons Ranked Nationally for First Time This Year, Host No. 3 Notre Dame on Tuesday

Philadelphia - The Drexel men's lacrosse team made its season debut in the USILA rankings, entering the poll at No. 20 this week. The Dragons will put that ranking to the test on Tuesday, when the third-ranked Fighting Irish of Notre Dame visit Vidas Field. The teams face-off at 4 p.m.
Drexel is 3-1 on the season and enters the game with a three-game winning streak. The Dragons defeated Binghamton on the road Saturday, 12-7. Kevin Stockel had four goals to lead Drexel. Mark Manos continued to play well in the cage, recording 13 saves. He has a 6.57 goals against average and a .629 save percentage. Scott Perri leads the team with 10 goals and 15 points. The Dragons only loss came to Virginia, who is the top-ranked team in the nation in both polls this week.
The Irish, who are also ranked fourth in the Nike Media Poll, are 3-0 after defeating No. 10 Loyola on Saturday, 11-9. Zach Brenneman and Neal Hicks each have seven goals for the Irish. Scott Rodgers, a Third Team All-American a season ago, is back in the cage. He has a 8.00 goals against average and has posted wins over No. 2 Duke, Penn State and Loyola. Rodgers led the nation in both goals against average and save percentage a year ago.
