Drexel Field Hockey Plays Friday Night at Delaware

Philadelphia – The Drexel women's field hockey team will visit conference rival, Delaware, on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Rullo Stadium. The Dragons enter the contest 10-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play after an exciting 2-1 victory over nationally-ranked Louisville last Sunday. The Dragons are 1-2 on the road.
Delaware leads the all-time series 20-6. Last season, Jen Cairone scored three goals as the Dragons defeated Delaware, 6-0, to clinch the No. 1 seed in the 2010 CAA Field Hockey Championships. Susan Ciufo and Kim Tunell also recorded goals for Drexel. The Dragons outshot Delaware, 26-3, and had six penalty corners to the Blue Hen's four.
The Blue Hens have lost four straight games dropping to 6-9 overall and 1-3 in the league. Last Sunday, Albany defeated Delaware, 4-0. Freshman defender Kelsey McKee leads the team with eight goals, four assists, and 20 points. Teammate Kayla Schweitzer has registered six assists for the Blue Hens. Senior goalkeeper Diana Noelle has made 99 saves on the season.
