Drexel Men's Crew Adds 15 Rowers for the 2011-12 Season

Philadelphia, Pa. – Director of Rowing Paul Savell welcomes 15 new members to the Drexel men's crew team for the 2011-12 season. Philip Byers, Casimir Czworkowski, Marko Durica, Jacquelyn Durkin, Butch Eribal, Dean Hill, Victoria Kenion, Christian Ladd, Ryan Mallgrave, Brian McCabe, Grigorios Papadourakis, Rohil Shah, Jacob Smith, Cameron Staines, and Andrew Weinstein will join the Dragons this fall.
The addition of this class will have immediate impact on the water. Savell, who will be entering his fifth season, is optimistic about the potential of the newest Dragons. “We have a great mix of some of the top rowers in the country along with local high school standouts,” said Director of Rowing Paul Savell. “The coaching staff is ready to work with these men to take our team to the next level.”
The freshmen hail from the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Michigan, as well as Zadar, Croatia. The roster also includes 15 sophomores, nine juniors, and 10 seniors.
