No. 17 Dragons Host No. 19 St. John's at Vidas on Tuesday

Philadelphia - Vidas Field will be the site of a mid-week top 20 showdown when No. 19 St. John's visits No. 17 Drexel. The two teams will face off, despite the recent fridgid conditions, at 4 p.m.
The Red Storm come to Philadelphia with a 2-1 record after a 14-9 win against Siena last weekend. Kiernan McArdle had two goals and three assist to lead S. John's. McArdle went over the 200 career-point mark in the game. He has seven goals and 10 assists, tops on the team in both categories. Ryan Fitzgerald and Kevin Cernuto each had hat tricks. In their previous games, the Red Storm defeated Holy Cross and lost at Yale.
The Dragons record is even at 2-2 after an 18-12 win against Robert Morris University last Saturday. Freshman Cole Shafer had five goals and two assists, while Nick Trizano had three goals and three assists. Senior Ben McIntosh added four goals. Shafer, Trizano and McIntosh each have 11 goals in four games this season. Shafer also has 10 assists and leads the club with 21 points. He ranks seventh in Division I in points per game (5.25). Will Gabrielsen has played well in the cage early in the season. He has a .571 save percentage.
Nick Saputo has 39 ground balls and averages 9.75 per game. That total leads the nation. He has won just under 61 percent of his face-offs, which ranks him 14th in the country entering play this week.
