Varian Repeats as CAA Rookie of the Week

Philadelphia - Drexel's Matthew Varian has once again been named the Colonial Athletic Association's Rookie of the Week. The announced was made by the CAA on Tuesday morning. This week, Varian shared the award with Delaware's Andrew Romagnoli.
Varian scored the game-winning goal as time expired to give Drexel a 10-9 win at Saint Joseph's on Saturday. It was the second goal of the game for the attackman from Island Park, N.Y. Earlier in the week, Varian posted two goals and had two assists against No. 14 Villanova.
Through four games this season, Varian leads the team with 11 points and is tied for the team lead with seven goals. The Dragons are back in action tonight against No. 12 Maryland at Vidas Field beginning at 7 p.m.
