Drexel Lacrosse Announces the 1990's All-Decade Team

Philadelphia, Pa. – The 1990's Drexel Lacrosse All-Decade Team was announced on Tuesday. Each decade team was selected by the Drexel University Men's Lacrosse Committee.
The 1990's All-Decade team includes Brandon Bates, Ed Boron, Jake Bunting, Craig Caputo, Jason Cava, Joe Christie, Brian Diener, Matt Enoch, Mike Ewing, Erik Fink, Jeff Giza, Daniel Gray, Jeff Iannarino, Mike Koons, Stas Kotula, Dave Metz, Jordie Olivella, Jed Salter, Don Seel, Todd Snellenburg, Jeff Spano, Mike Twohig, Adam Welz and Matt Winkler.
The 1990s saw Drexel move from the East Coast Conference to the North Atlantic Conference. That league then became the America East. Drexel became more competitive in the new league as the decade passed and its progress culminated in 1998, when the team set a school record at that time with 12 wins. That squad was ranked 19th in the nation at one point. Jake Bunting, who played on that team, became the program's first Academic All-American. The 1990s saw Eric Fink tie the school record for goals in a season, when he scored 45 in 1993. Jed Salter made 908 saves in the decade, a record that still stands to this day.
The All-Decade teams are part of a celebration that will take place throughout the year. The 75th anniversary festivities will culminate in Drexel's final regular-season home game against Delaware on Saturday, April 22 at 3 p.m. The Dragons will wear throwback jerseys during the season-finale. The 75th anniversary team will be honored during halftime of the contest against the Blue Hens. The All-Decade teams will be recognized at the postgame reception.
A celebratory reception and dinner for the 75th anniversary will follow the conclusion of the game at the Vidas Athletic Complex from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Drexel Lacrosse letterwinners plus one guest will receive free admission to the game and reception.
