Drexel Golf to Play in Lehigh Valley Collegiate Invitational

HELLERTOWN, Pa. - The Drexel golf team returns to action this weekend as it spends the first part of spring break playing in the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Invitational. The tournament, which is officially called the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Invitational hosted by Lafayette, will be played at Silver Creek Country Club in Hellertown, Pa.
The Dragons will have the same five golfers that appeared in the Wildcat Invitational earlier in the week. The starting five will consist of Michael Cook, Yoseph Dance, Aaron Fricke, Adam Mistretta, and Connor Schmidt. Mistetta was the team's top finisher at White Manor Country Club, where Drexel finished eighth overall out of 19 teams participating.
Silver Creek Country Club is a Donald Ross course that features 27 holes in the hills of Hellertown. The par-72 course plays at 6,655 yards. The event will take place on Sunday and Monday, with player playing 18 holes each day. This year's field includes Bryant, Canisius, Colgate, Connecticut, Fordham, Hofstra, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Manhattan, Monmouth, Niagara, Rider, Robert Morris, St. Peter's, Villanova and Wagner.
