Dragons Sign Zach Walton to National Letter of Intent

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's basketball team signed Zach Walton to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Zach Spiker announced Thursday.

Walton is a 6-6 wing out of Edmonds Community College (Wash.) and will have two years of eligibility remaining. The Morton, Wash. native averaged 20.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Walton shot 54.7 percent from the field, including 41.8 percent from deep last season. He will bring the Dragons depth at the small forward position.

"He has a high level of appreciation and respect for our process, which is important to us as we continue to build and reinforce a positive winning culture. He understands our program's vision and is excited to be a Drexel student-athlete."

Walton joins early signee Coletrane Washington in this year's recruiting class and will begin his Drexel career in 2018-19.
