PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's basketball team signed Zach Walton to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Zach Spiker announced Thursday.
Walton is a 6-6 wing out of Edmonds Community College (Wash.) and will have two years of eligibility remaining. The Morton, Wash. native averaged 20.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Walton shot 54.7 percent from the field, including 41.8 percent from deep last season. He will bring the Dragons depth at the small forward position.
"Zach fits the system of values we are building for Drexel Basketball," Spiker said. "He has a high level of appreciation and respect for our process, which is important to us as we continue to build and reinforce a positive winning culture. He understands our program's vision and is excited to be a Drexel student-athlete."
Walton joins early signee Coletrane Washington in this year's recruiting class and will begin his Drexel career in 2018-19.
