PHILADELPHIA – Drexel's Men's Soccer Head Coach Doug Hess will not return for the 2020-21 season, Deputy Director of Athletics Nick Gannon announced on Tuesday.
"We'd like to thank Doug for his hard work and dedication to the Drexel men's soccer program over the last decade," Gannon said. "We wish him and his family the best in the future. Ultimately, we decided that our program needs new direction and leadership. A national search for our next head coach will begin immediately."
Hess served as the Dragons head coach for the last 10 seasons. He compiled a 59-99-23 overall record. Hess led the team to back-to-back NCAA appearances in 2012 and 2013. The Dragons won the 2012 Colonial Athletic Association regular-season title and earned an at-large bid in 2012. The following season, Drexel won both the CAA regular season and conference tournament championship.
