Washington also named CAA Sixth Player of the Year
RICHMOND, Va. – The Drexel University women's basketball team, the No. 1 seed in the CAA Championships and the CAA regular season co-champions, earned four awards when the Colonial Athletic Association announced its postseason awards on Tuesday afternoon.
Senior Bailey Greenberg was named to the All-CAA First Team for the second time of her career. Sophomore Keishana Washington earned a spot on the All-CAA Third Team and was tabbed as the conference's Sixth Player of the Year in her second campaign with the Dragons. Head Coach Denise Dillon received a share of the CAA Coach of the Year honors alongside William & Mary's Ed Swanson. It marked her fourth time grabbing the coaching award from the CAA.
BAILEY GREENBERG / 2020 ALL-CAA FIRST TEAM
For the second-consecutive season, Greenberg grabbed a selection to the All-CAA First Team. The senior led the Dragons with 17.3 points per game and 14.8 points per contest in CAA affairs. Her 17.3 scoring average was good for fourth in the conference while her field goals made (185) and attempts (424) were third at the CAA level. The North Wales, Pennsylvania native also averaged a team-best 5.6 rebounds per game. Greenberg sported the team's best three-point percentage clip at .391 as she connected on 43-of-110 from beyond the arc. She finished in double figures in 26 of 30 contests in 2019-20 and had 10 games scoring 20+ including three games of 30+. She started the season with back-to-back 31-point performances against Quinnipiac (Nov. 5) and Davidson (Nov. 9) before establishing a new career high with 32 points to close out the nonconference slate and calendar year against Maine (Dec. 30).
