Men's Soccer Falls Short in 2-0 Defeat to William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Drexel men's soccer team (5-6-1, 2-2-1 CAA) fell short to William & Mary (4-6, 2-3 CAA) on Saturday, 2-0. Cameron Sanders started in goal for the Dragons and tallied a game-high six saves.
The Tribe scored their game-winning goal in the 34th minute and then added an insurance goal in the 56th minute to take a 2-0 lead.
Sanders, the redshirt-senior who earned the 24th start of his career, set multiple season-highs during the match against William & Mary. First, Sanders started in the 10th game of the season, which tops his previous season-high of nine. Sanders also topped his season-high in minutes played by pushing his total over 874 minutes. Lastly, Sanders pushed his saves total to 32, topping his previous season-high of 29 saves.
The Dragons return home on Tuesday, October 19, to take on NJIT at Vidas Field. Kickoff is slated to start at 5 p.m.
