Dragons Drop Second Round Game to James Madison, 10-0

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Drexel softball team was defeated by the James Madison Dukes,10-0, in five innings on Thursday afternoon. The Dragons will return to Veterans Memorial Park at 5 p.m. to face either Delaware or Elon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dukes scored the first two runs of the game off back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the first.
In the bottom of the second, James Madison hit two more home runs to put three more runs on the scoreboard and extend the lead to 7-0.
The Dukes added three runs in the bottom of the third to take a 10-0 lead.
The Dragons were able to load the bases in the top of the fifth but could not score any of the runs.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Dragons will move to the loser's bracket and play the winner of the Elon and Delaware game. The Blue Hens and Phoenix will play at 2 p.m. The winner of that game will play the Dragons at 5 p.m. to decide who will play James Madison in the championship game.
