CAA Announces 2021-22 Men's Basketball Conference Schedule

RICHMOND, Va. - The Colonial Athletic Association announced its men's basketball conference schedule for the 2021-22 campaign on Thursday afternoon. The CAA's 10 teams will return to a traditional conference scheduling model this winter with an 18-game schedule, travel partners, and double round-robin format. Conference play will begin with a pair of dates in the week between Christmas and New Year's with competition on Wednesday, Dec. 29, and Friday, Dec. 31. Drexel will open the season with road games against the College of Charleston and UNCW.

The conference slate will feature eight game dates from December 29-January 17. The stretch wraps up with all 10 teams competing for the first time on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, providing each institution with the opportunity to promote its initiatives that focus on eliminating racial and social injustice.

The final six weekends of CAA play will follow a traditional Thursday-Saturday schedule with the regular season concluding Saturday, Feb. 26.

The CAA Men's Basketball Championship will return to the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, D.C., in 2022, on March 5-8 in the nation's capital.

Drexel will return four starters from last year's team that won the CAA. Camren Wynter was a First Team All-CAA pick, while James Butler was a Third-Team selection.
