Schoyen Named CAA Defensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Miyuki Schoyen of the Drexel women's soccer team has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 5, 2021. It is the first time this season she is receiving the honor.
Schoyen did not allow a goal across 200 minutes of action last week that included a 1-0 win at Seton Hall and a scoreless draw against La Salle. Combined in the two matches, she made five saves, four against the Pirates. The redshirt junior from Salisbury, Md. has not allowed a goal in her last 328+ minutes of play.
Drexel is back in action on Sunday, September 12 when it hosts UMass Lowell. Opening tap from Vidas Field is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
