200 Medley Relay Team Earns Bronze; Finishes Day One of CAA Championship in Third

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. - The Drexel women's swimming and diving team opened the four-day CAA Swimming and Diving Championship with a bronze medal at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Christiansburg, Va. After day one, Drexel is tied for third place with Delaware.
The 200 medley relay team earned the bronze medal in the opening event. Aldercy Bui, Megan Sicinski, Victoria Palochik and Lera Nasedkina teamed up to put together a time of 1:41.01, just one second shy of the silver medal.
Drexel fell less than a second away from medaling in the 800 free relay. The team consisted of Fede Nocera, Chelsea Gravereaux, Paige Powell and Maddie Riley. However, the group did set a new program mark after the swim.
Day two kicks off at 10:00 a.m. for swimming prelims. Diving prelims will follow at 12:30 p.m., with finals starting at 6:00 p.m.
