Brugler Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Tessa Brugler of the Drexel University women's basketball team has been named a First Team CoSIDA Academic All-District performer as announced by the College Sports Information Directors Association on Thursday afternoon and voted on by the organization's membership.
Brugler is the first women's basketball player to earn Academic All-District honors since Michelle Maslowski in 2002 and is just the fourth overall in program history to earn the award.
First Team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First, Second and Third Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-March.
A graduate student from Nazareth, Pa., Brugler has a 3.83 GPA while earning her master's degree in sports business. On the court, she has started all 23 games for the Colonial Athletic Association leading Dragons, averaging 14.0 points per game and is fifth in the conference with 8.6 rebounds a contest. She also ranks third in the CAA with 1.3 blocks per game and her 30 blocks this season are the most for a Drexel player since the 2015-16 season.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have an academic standing of a sophomore or higher and have a 3.30 GPA at their current institution. They must also be a starter or key contributor to their team and have appeared in at least 50 percent of the team's games.
