Four Members from Women's Basketball Named CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Keishana Washington, Hetta Saatman, Chloe Hodges and Brianne Borcky of the Drexel women's basketball team have been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must be of a sophomore academic standing or higher with a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key reserve for their team.
Washington is second in the nation in scoring at 27.7 points per game, also averaging 4.0 assists and 3.2 rebounds a contest. She is the only player in NCAA Division I with 40 points or more in three games this season. The Pickering, Ontario native has scored in double figures in 60 consecutive games, has topped 20 points in 21 games and 30 in 11 outings. She also has two double-doubles on the year.
In the classroom, the graduate student has a 4.0 GPA in her master's program and accumulated a 3.74 GPA as an undergrad in psychology.
Saatman has started all 26 games for the Dragons, averaging 6.1 points and 3.9 rebounds a contest. She leads Drexel and is fifth in the CAA with 35 blocks and 1.35 blocks per game. She had reached double figures in scoring in seven games and netted a career-high 15 against Penn State on December 18.
The senior from Lancaster, Pa. has a 3.67 GPA as an elementary education major and has been named to the CAA Commissioner's Honor Roll four times.
Hodges has emerged as one of the top bench players in the league during conference play, averaging 7.0 points and 3.0 rebounds a contest against CAA competition. She has also shot 64.3 percent from the field against conference opponents, reaching double figures three times, including a 15-point, eight rebound performance against Elon on January 29.
Off the court, the junior from Adelaide, Australia has been named to the CAA Commissioner's Honor Roll three times and has a 3.61 GPA as an elementary education major.
Borcky had moved into a role as the Dragons' sixth-player and appeared in 14 games with one start before a season-ending injury. She had a career-high five rebounds at Dartmouth on December 13 and followed that with a personal best five assists against Penn State on December 18.
In the classroom, the senior from Garnet Valley, Pa. has a 3.95 GPA as a marketing major, has been named to the CAA Commissioner's Honor Roll four times and has earned the team's Stephen Sher Academic Achievement Award twice.
All four student-athletes will now be moved on to the national Academic All-America ballot to be voted on by members of College Sports Communicators.
