Dragons Fall in Doubleheader Against Seton Hall

PHILADELPHIA – Drexel softball was defeated in a pair of games against Seton Hall on Tuesday afternoon at the DU Softball Field. The Pirates won the first game, 14-1, then won the second game 6-2.
GAME ONE
Lindsay Nelson (2-13) went two innings for the Dragons. Holly Spletzer entered the game in relief and finished the game out with a three inning performance.
Five different Dragons earned a hit in game one. Izzy Alamillo, Lana Mooney, Ashley Errico, Kylee Guerrera and Savaanah Garcia all checked into the game with a hit.
Ameryn Humble tallied an RBI in the fourth inning to secure Drexel's lone run.
GAME TWO
Jessica Schable (6-10) went seven innings and kept Drexel in the game the whole game. Until the seventh inning, the senior held the Pirates to just three runs.
Mia Garza went 1-for-2 with a two-RBI single in the fourth inning.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Seton Hall scored its first three runs in the fourth inning. But, Drexel retaliated in the bottom of the fourth. Garza singled up the middle and scored two runs to move Drexel within one of the Pirates.
The visitors then scored three runs in the seventh to pull away from Drexel and set the final score at 6-2.

Drexel returns to action on Wednesday, April 12 when it travels to the Main Line to face Villanova in a single g
