Softball Falls in Series Finale Against Delaware, 1-0

The Drexel softball team was defeated in the series finale against Delaware, 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Dragons received a fantastic pitching performance by Jessica Schable (7-11). The senior went all seven innings, allowing just four hits and surrendering one run, which was unearned.
The Dragons got two hits in the seven-inning game. Lana Mooney reached on a single to first and Ashley Errico a single to right field in the second inning.
Delaware scored its lone run on a sacrifice bunt in the top of the sixth inning. With a runner on second, a ball was thrown out of the reach of Lily Meuninck on first. The runner on second rounded third and scored the Blue Hens' first and only run.
Drexel returns to mid-week nonconference action on Wednesday when the team hosts its University City neighbors, Penn for a single game. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m.
