Cuocco Earns a Record Sixth CAA Rookie of the Week Honor

RICHMOND, Va. – Jenika Cuocco of women's lacrosse team has been named the CAA Rookie of the Week for the week of April 17th. This is the sophomore's sixth honor this season which is the most in the conference in all categories. She is the first player in CAA women's lacrosse history to have received the honor six times. Cuocco has been Rookie of the Week in three straight weeks and six of the last eight.

Cuocco found 12 saves and picked up four ground balls in goal against Hofstra on Saturday. Against the Pride, she allowed four goals in 50:58 of play. The sophomore held HU scoreless in the third quarter and her efforts secured DU's fourth CAA victory of the season to improve the Dragon's record to 11-4. The Long Island, N.Y. native leads the conference in save percentage at 53.9% which is second in Division One. Additionally, Cuocco is among the top 12 in D1 in goals against average (8.75/game) and saves (151).

The Dragons host senior day and their final home contest at Vidas Field on Saturday, April 29. Senior day ceremonies will take place following the game. The opening draw against Monmouth is scheduled for 1 p.m. on FloLive ($).
