SPARKS, Md. — Drexel women's lacrosse alumna Jenika Cuocco has been invited to the U.S. Women's Sixes training camp. Cuocco is one of 22 players, including three goalkeepers, selected for the five-day camp. The camp runs from Aug. 17-21 at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md.
The Sound Beach, N.Y., native capped off her first professional season in the WLL with the Maryland Charm, winning the league's inaugural championship on Saturday at Subaru Stadium. Cuocco was previously invited to the U.S. Women's National Team training camp in 2025.
This is the first of two training camps preceding the Pan-American Sixes Lacrosse Championships Sept. 29-Oct. 4 in Oshawa, Ontario, a continental qualifier for the 2027 World Lacrosse Sixes Championship and the beginning of the pathway to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Sixes is the rapid-fire, 6v6 version of lacrosse created in 2021 by World Lacrosse as part of the Olympic movement. The field is smaller, the quarters are shorter and draws occur only at the beginning of each quarter. The competition roster limit is 12.
