Dragons Slighted by UNCW in Series Finale, 3-1

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Drexel softball team was defeated in the series finale against the UNCW Seahawks, 3-1.
Lindsay Nelson went six innings, holding UNCW to two earned runs on six hits. Savaanah Garcia had 75 percent of Drexel's offensive production, going a perfect, 3-for-3 with an RBI.
Drexel scored its lone run in the second inning. Garcia hit a single to third base and scored Ashley Errico on the play.
Drexel returns to action on Wednesday, May 3 as the Saint Joseph's Hawks visit the Drexel Softball Field to play a single game, beginning at 3 p.m.
