Bednarik, Cuocco Named USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention All-Americans

SPARKS, Md. - Corinne Bednarik and Jenika Cuocco of Drexel women's lacrosse were named USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention All-Americans on Tuesday morning.

#2 Corinne Bednarik - Sr. / A/M
Bednarik has been the CAA's top-scoring attacker with 46 goals and 22 assists while also adding 66 draw controls to her stats. The senior from Glenmoore, Pa. has found 2.71 goals and 4.12 points per game which ranks third in the CAA. Additionally, she is tied with teammate Maura Cissel for sixth in the conference with 4.06 draws per game. The captain also collected USA Lacrosse Magazine National Player of the Week honors in March and a CAA Player of the Week accolade in February. Bednarik was honored as CAA Attacker of the Year and her second First Team All-CAA recognition last week.
#22 Jenika Cuocco - So. / GK
Cuocco is the top goalie in the conference with a .533 save percentage which is fifth in the nation. This season she has amassed 173 saves, 31 ground balls, and caused three turnovers in the cage for the Dragons. Additionally, she ranks 12th with a 9.07 goals-against average and 11th with an average of 10.18 saves per game across Division One. The sophomore broke the CAA record with seven Rookie of the Week awards and earned the IWLCA Co-Defensive Player of the Week in April. Cuocco was honored as the CAA Goalkeeper And Rookie Of The Year as well as First Team All-CAA and All-CAA Rookie Team.
The Dragons received their third consecutive nod to the NCAA Championships, this is also the program's third time representing the CAA in the tournament. Drexel will face Maryland for a regular season rematch on Friday, May 12 at 5 pm. The opening draw will be streamed on ESPN+ in Harrisonburg, Va. (James Madison University) from Sentara Field.
