PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's tennis team competed in the annual and prestigious Cissie Leary Invitational, hosted by Penn. The invitational began on Friday and continued throughout the weekend, ending on Sunday, September 24.

The Dragons faced USF on Friday, where Maddison Ricardo and Isabel Cabrerizo earned the team's first win of the season. The win was a collegiate first for Riccardo. On Saturday, the Dragons played Penn in a hidden dual. Elisa Rigazio and Rebecca Fiedler teamed together and downed their opponents, 6-4. In singles play, Renata Lombera earned a win with a pair of 6-2 sets.

Drexel returns to action on Saturday, September 30 down in Cary, N.C. for the ITA All-American tournament.
