Baker Named CAA Co-Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Amaris Baker of the Drexel women's basketball team has been selected as the Coastal Athletic Association's Co-Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Baker, who has turned in 14 straight double-digit performances for Drexel, helped the Dragons win their first Women's Big 5 game in program history this past Wednesday. The Dragons defeated the La Salle Explorers, 73-40 at the Daskalakis Athletic Center and received a 22-point performance from Baker. The senior went 7-for-16 from the field and 7-for-8 from the charity stripe. Baker also added three rebounds, two assists and two steals to her stat sheet.

Drexel returns to the Daskalakis Athletic Center on November 20 to close out its three-game homestretch. UC Irvine travels to Philadelphia to face the Dragons at 6 p.m. On Saturday, Drexel travels to North Philadelphia to close out Women's Big 5 pod play against Temple. Action from the Liacouras Center is set for 2 p.m.
