Dragons Begin Three-Game Road Stretch at Towson on Friday

The Dragons begin a three-game road stretch on Friday night at Towson. The Dragons and TIgers tip off at 7 p.m. from TU Arena on FloHoops.
Last Time Out
The Drexel women's basketball team was defeated by the North Carolina A&T Aggies on Sunday afternoon, 54-47. The Aggies (15-7, 9-2 CAA) used a 19 point fourth quarter to overcome a 11-point Drexel (10-11, 5-5 CAA) lead.
Brooke Mullin paced Drexel in the scoring column with 16 points. The graduate student also grabbed four rebounds and tallied three assists.
Chloe Hodges reached double-digits for the third-straight game. The senior finished with 12 points, five rebounds and five assists.
The Dragons held the lead for a total of over 35 minutes. The Aggies took its first lead in the fourth quarter with just under five minutes left to play.

Towson enters Friday night with a 13-9 record overall and a 5-6 tab in conference play. Last weekend, the Tigers split the weekend, winning against the conference leaders, Stony Brook and then dropping a home contest against Hofstra.
Patricia Anumgba leads Towson, scoring 14.3 points per game. The junior has cooled off recently, only reaching double-digits twice in the last four games. Anumgba averages the most minutes on the team, at a stunning 34.8 minutes per game.
Following Anumgba is the CAA Preseason Player of the Year, Kylie Kornegay-Lucas. The redshirt senior scores 12.8 points per game and has struggled recently, reaching double-digits in two of the last six games. Prior to that, Kornegay-Lucas posted six straight double-digit performances.
After those two players, the Towson leading scorers start to fall off. Alexia Nelson chips in 9.1 per game, while India Johnston and Quinzia Fulmore tally 7.9 and 7.6 per game.
The Tigers are coached by Laura Harper, who is in her fourth year of coaching and second year at the helm of the Towson program.The Maryland product began her career at Coppin State, leading the Eagles to a 17-26 record. In her time with Towson, Harper has a positive record of 34-21.

Washington led Drexel with 27 points, her 52nd in a row in double figures, tying Gabriela Marginean for the most consecutive games with 10+ points in program history. It was also her 14th game with 20 or more points.
