About the Dragons
Drexel evened its conference record with a convincing 16-5 win at Hampton on Monday. It was the second game of a three-day trip to Virginia. Max Hull and Matt Martin each recorded hat tricks as five Dragons scored their first career goals in the game. Two days before the Hampton game, the Dragons fell to the third-ranked Virginia Cavaliers.
Drexel (4-5) has featured a balanced offensive attack this season with five players scoring at least 16 points, but none with more than 20. Conor Hooley leads the way with 20 points and has 12 goals. Luke Tomak and Max Semple each have 19 points. Semple, a junior, leads the club with 18 points. Gavin Kelly has a team-high 10 assists, while Zach Augustine chips in with nine goals and seven assists. Drew McGill has been the starter in goal every game and is ranked in the top 20 nationally in both save percentage and saves per game.
About Fairfield
The Stags (4-5) have a CAA win against Hofstra. They played a close contest with Towson last week, but came up just short, 12-10. After staring the season with three-straight losses, the Stags have won four of their last six.
Bryce Ford and Jake Gilbert have each scored 18 goals for Andrew Baxter's team. Ford leads the team with 28 points, while Gilbert is right behind him with 26 points. Will Consoli has scored 16 times and has already fired 76 shots. The Stags have scored on 44 percent of their man-up opportunities.
