PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel softball team fell to the UNCW Seahawks on Saturday afternoon, 15-0, at the Drexel Softball Field.
UNCW scored a pair of runs in the second inning to begin the scoring. A double and a sacrifice fly gave the Seahawks a lead. In the top of the third, the Seahawks scored seven runs to extend the lead to nine. UNCW hit three straight home runs.
UNCW scored one more run in the fifth to push its lead to double digits. In the fifth, the Seahawks scored five more runs to take a 15-run lead.
The Dragons are set to celebrate their graduating class and go for a series win on Sunday at noon. Ameryn Humble, Ashley Errico, Grace Abbonizio, Lindsey Hunt and Lindsey Hunt will be recognized for their dedication and efforts for Drexel Athletics.
