Drexel Announces 2024-25 Men’s Basketball Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – A non-conference visit from Penn State at Wells Fargo Center and 13 home games at the Daskalakis Athletic Center highlight Drexel's 2024-25 men's basketball schedule. Once again, the upcoming season is presented by IBEW Local 98.
Drexel will begin the season with two straight home games, including a contest against Colgate on Nov. 9. The Red Raiders have made the NCAA Tournament in each of the last four years. The Dragons will then open Big 5 play at Temple on Nov. 12 and host La Salle on Nov. 16 at the DAC.
The Dragons will then be away from home for seven of their next eight games. They will visit Fairfield and Fordham before playing in the Sunshine Slam, Daytona Beach, Fla. just before Thanksgiving. After the holiday, Coach Spiker's team returns home to face Bryant before playing in the Big 5 Classic at Wells Fargo Center. Drexel will then face UAlbany and Howard on the road before heading back to Wells Fargo to host the Nittany Lions on Dec. 21.
Coastal Athletic Association play begins on Jan 2. This year, Drexel will face Delaware, Hampton, Monmouth, Towson and William & Mary twice, once at the Daskalakis Athletic Center and once on the road. The Dragons will host Charleston, Elon, Hofstra and UNCW at the DAC and will make trips to Campbell, North Carolina A&T, Northeastern and Stony Brook.
The 18-game CAA schedule starts with three straight road games, including the team's first visit to Campbell on Jan. 2. The Dragons' first CAA home game will be played on Jan. 11 against Towson. It is the first of three straight home games. The final game of the homestand will be against Hofstra on Jan. 18. Drexel will head to Northeastern on the following Monday before hosting arch-rival Delaware on Homecoming on Jan. 25 After the game against the Blue Hens, Drexel will play five of its next seven games on the road, before closing the season with three straight home games. That homestand features visits from defending CAA champion Charleston, Hampton and Monmouth.
The 2025 CAA Men's Basketball Championships will be played in Washington, D.C., at the Entertainment & Sports Arena. All 14 CAA teams will compete for the league championship and a bid to the NCAA Tournament. The CAA Championships begin on March 7, with the championship game being played on March 11.
