Dragons Draw with Lafayette, 0-0

PHILADELPHIA - Raphael Bartell was perfect in goal vs Lafayette Tuesday night as the Dragons and Leopards drew 0-0 at Vidas Field.
The 6-1 Senior from Germany had three saves in a tense match with strong offensive pressure from both teams. The Dragons put four shots on goal in the match, with Tiago Lima-Bittencourt and Brian Salvino taking two each.
In the closing minutes of the first half the Dragons had two opportunities to score with back to back corners but great saves from Lafayette goalkeeper Marco Brok kept the game tied. Offensively, the teams put up similar numbers. Drexel took four shots on goal to Lafayette's three and Drexel took five corner kicks to Lafayette's three. In the end, neither defense allowed a goal.
Drexel will play their final home game of the regular season on Saturday, October 25 against the Stony Brook Seawolves in the first of two CAA conference games. The match can be seen on FloCollege.
