Max Semple Named CAA Offensive Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Drexel senior Max Semple has been named this week's CAA Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week. The attackman led the Dragons to a pair of non-conference wins this week.
Semple started the week by scoring four goals in Drexel's 17-5 win at NJIT. He closed the week with six goals and one assist, all coming in the first half, as Drexel emptied the bench in a convincing win against Mercer in Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta. The game was part of the Atlanta Lacrosse Invitational. The Coquitlam, British Columbia native now has 102 career goals and is tied for eighth all-time in goals at Drexel with John Colt.
Semple now has 14 goals in Drexel's five games. He is tied for third in the CAA in goals per game. He will look to add to that total on Tuesday afternoon, when the Dragons visit Villanova at 4 p.m.
