Jenika Cuocco Named Drexel's CAA Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year

RICHMOND, Va. - Jenika Cuocco of women's lacrosse has been named Drexel's Coastal Athletic Association Female Scholar Athlete.
Cuocco was the 2023 and 2024 CAA Goalie of the Year. The Sound Beach, New York native led the NCAA in saves (224) and save percentage (.569) a year ago. She was also second in the country in saves per game at 11.87. Cuocco received All-American honors from USA Lacrosse, IWLCA and Inside Lacrosse. In 19 games in 2024 the goalkeeper recorded 15 or more stops six times, including a career-high 18 saves against No. 5 Maryland and 17 in the CAA Championships game against Stony Brook. She helped the Dragons punch their ticket to their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, the first team in Drexel history to accomplish this feat.
Off the field, Cuocco has been a CAA Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient for four years. She was also the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Performer of the Year in her redshirt-freshman campaign and received an All-Area Team selection last season.
Each of the 14 nominees for the CAA Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be recognized with a crystal award. Sammy Fisher of Elon women's lacrosse was chosen as the 2024-25 CAA Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year following a vote of the conference's Academic Affairs Committee.
