Kwasny Selected to Philly-SIDA All-Area Academic Team

PHILADELPHIA - Jakub Kwasny of the Drexel men's swimming and diving team has been named to the 2025 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Men's Swimming and Diving team.
Kwasny is one of 11 student-athletes named to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Men's Swimming and Diving Team, which is selected by sports information representatives from 30 colleges and universities across the Philadelphia region.
In order to be eligible for Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area honors, student-athletes must be in at least their second year at their current institution and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or better.
Jakub Kwasny had a record-setting final season for the Drexel men's swimming and diving team. He won gold medals in both the 100 butterfly (45.50) and 200 butterfly (1:44.10) at the 2025 CAA Championships, setting a new conference record in the 100 fly. He also helped the Dragons to three relay titles, contributing to CAA-record performances in the 400 freestyle relay (2:52.71), 400 medley relay (3:07.40), and a program-record swim in the 200 freestyle relay (1:18.01). Kwasny added a silver medal in the 200 medley relay with a school-record time of 1:25.25.
