Dragons Upended in Series Finale Against Hofstra

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel softball team was defeated in the series finale against the Hofstra Pride on Saturday afternoon, 14-1.
Violet Marta started in the circle for Drexel and pitched two innings. Sidney Toukonen entered the game in relief and pitch 1.1 innings, striking out two batters. Madison Taylor finished the game, pitching 1.2 innings, holding Hofstra to one run on one hit. The junior struck out three batters in the effort.
Kylah Reading paced the Dragons in hits, going 2-for-2 with an RBI in first inning. The freshman hit a single to center field and scored Izzy Alamillo.
Drexel returns to action on Wednesday when the Dragons welcome the Seton Hall Pirates to Vidas for a doubleheader. First pitch of game one is slated for 2 p.m.
