Dragons Welcome Hofstra to DAC on Sunday

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel women's basketball team returns to the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Sunday, January 11 to face the Hofstra Pride. Action from Philadelphia is slated for 2 p.m. on FloCollege.

The Drexel women's basketball team was defeated by the Stony Brook Seawolves, 57-53, on Friday night on Long Island, N.Y.
Deja Evans turned in her highest scoring performance of the season with 20 points after shooting 9-for-16 and grabbing a team-high eight rebounds.
Laine McGurk finished with 13 points on 4-for-11 shooting. The junior also made two treys.
Amaris Baker was the third Dragon in double digits, scoring 10 points.
The game featured seven occurrences where the game was tied, eight lead changes and the largest lead for either team was seven.

The Drexel women's basketball was defeated by the Hofstra Pride on Sunday afternoon, 60-53, in Hempstead, N.Y. The Dragons fall to 6-7, 2-1 in the CAA, while Hofstra improves to 8-7, 3-1 CAA.
Drexel received double-digit performances from three players in Sunday's contest. Amaris Baker led the Dragons with 14 points. The senior also added five rebounds and four assists.
Molly Lavin finished with 11 points. The junior tied a career-high mark from beyond the arc, hitting 3-for-7 treys.
Deja Evans rounded out Drexel's scorers in double figures with 10 points.
Looking Ahead
The Dragons head south for Charleston and UNCW on January 16 and the 18th. Drexel opens the weekend of play in South Carolina against the Cougars at 7 p.m., then will travel to Wilmington on Sunday to face the Seahawks at 1 p.m. Both games can be seen on FloCollege.
