Evans Named CAA Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Deja Evans of the Drexel women's basketball team has been named the Coastal Athletic Association's Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Evans helped Drexel to a 2-0 record last weekend. On Friday, during the teams first game against Stony Brook, Evans scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds along with a career-high five steals. The Dragons defeated the Seawolves 49-41. Less than 24 hours later, Drexel hosted the Towson Tigers and defeated the visitors, 68-45, making it the largest victory against Towson since 2019. Evans added another double-digit performance, finishing with 10 points and five rebounds.
Drexel travels to West Long Branch, N.J. on Friday, January 30 to face the Monmouth Hawks at 7 p.m. Then, on Sunday, the Dragons play the Northeastern Huskies in Boston, Mass. at 1 p.m.
