Andreopoulos Wins Two Gold as Drexel is in Third Place After Day Two of Caa Championships

HAMPTON, Va. – Drexel men's swimming and diving earned two gold medals and a bronze on Thursday at the 2026 CAA Championships. The Dragons remain in third place with 234.5 points after two days of competition.
Theo Andreopoulos won gold in the 50 freestyle with a time of 19.60. Sebastian Smith joined him on the podium, earning bronze in 19.62. Mark Eszes placed sixth in the championship final, and Declan Egger finished 13th.
Petar Pavalic placed sixth in the championship final of the 200 individual medley.
In the 500 freestyle, Roko Krpina finished fifth in the A final. Matas Cinga placed ninth and Kaan Akdag finished 12th in the consolation final.
Drexel closed the night with a gold medal in the 400 medley relay. Dimi Gkelis, Bartosz Loter, Sebastian Smith, and Theo Andreopoulos combined for a winning time of 3:08.14.
Through two days, Drexel has earned six medals, including three gold, and set one school record.
