WASHINGTON, D.C. – Drexel softball split its Saturday doubleheader at Georgetown, falling 8–0 in five innings in the opener before responding with a 9–1 win in five innings in Game Two. The Dragons move to 6–6 on the season.

How It Happened – Game One

Georgetown scored twice in the first inning and added a run in the third to take a 3–0 lead. The Hoyas then broke the game open with five runs in the fifth inning to secure the 8–0 result in five innings.

How It Happened – Game Two

Drexel struck first in the opening inning. Kalea Calugay hit a two-run home run to left, scoring Natalie Alldred to give the Dragons a 2–0 lead.

Georgetown answered with a solo home run in the bottom of the first to cut the deficit to 2–1, but Drexel's pitching and defense held the Hoyas to just one hit the rest of the way.

The Dragons extended the lead in the fourth. Annabelle Smink doubled home a run, and RBI singles from Kylah Reading and Jackie Masone pushed the advantage to 5–1.

Drexel added four more runs in the fifth. Olivia Sciulli delivered a two-run triple, Reading followed with an RBI double, and Masone added an RBI single to cap the scoring at 9–1.

Courtney Kols earned the win in the circle, allowing one run on two hits with two strikeouts and two walks over 5.0 innings.

By the Numbers

Drexel scored nine runs on 12 hits in Game Two.

Kylah Reading went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Jackie Masone finished 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Olivia Sciulli went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a triple.
